Am I still entitled to a refund if I'm unable to return the item?

Alice, I think you need to bin your boyfriend.

I think it'll save you time now and avoid a lot of problems in future...
    We were all thinking it...
  • Nope. Where's your proof it's actually faulty, and that you're just not after a freebie?

I would be returning the boyfriend because:

    1. Who on earth chucks stuff away rather than returning??

    2. He accused you of buying cheap Chinese rubbish!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

In fairness, I'm not sure there are any computer mice available these days that aren't cheap Chinese rubbish!  First point I agree with.

But then she can't get a refund...   she needs to ask boyfriend's mum for a return label.
If boyfriend's mum has got any sense, her T&Cs won't allow a return...

Not for Change of Mind obviously - but Not Fit for Purpose might...
I need to think of something new here...
  • If you are still within 30 days of the delivery date the eBay Money Back Guarantee will cover the transaction.

You need to open a returns request, the seller must provide a label for the return and the item then needs to be returned.

Without having the item to return you won’t be able to claim a refund through eBay unless the seller refuses to provide a label.

It’s not the best idea to simply throw something away as the seller is entitled to ask for it to be returned or some sellers may for example request a photo of the item having been destroyed before issuing a refund without a return. The reason for this is obvious really :)
    Not quite.

Sellers are not required to provide postage labels by default, and even in cases where they are eBay will just supply you with a label.
