Should I chnage my current energy deal.

Hi,

Could anybody give me advice regarding my current energy deal.

I'm unsure if I would be better to change.

I'm with bulb energy who are under government administration or something.

I'm on the Vari-fair tariff.

Thanks

Lee

    Hi Lee.
The question really is what exactly would you change *to*?
Bulb only has one tariff - Vari-Fair - and it's expected to track the Ofgem cap.
    Currently:
    • There is nowhere to switch to that's significantly cheaper than the current October Ofgem cap, and
    • There are no fixed-rates on general offer that are significantly cheaper than the forthcoming April Ofgem cap.
If you can find a tariff cheaper than the caps (full details at the links in my signature block) then it might be worth switching, and if you do find one we'd all like to know!

  • Hi QrizB,

I see I will just stick put just now and keep a track of my usage and see how my payments are affected.
Bulb have tried a few times to increase my dd but I have gone and lowered it again as I'm in a fair bit of credit. As I'm by myself I thought over £100 a month for 1 person was steap. I'm currently paying £88 up from £61.

    Thanks

If in winter you are still using less than the monthly DD then try to decrease the DD, personally I would wait until after the end of April to alter the DD as the increase in the SVR might mean you end up slowly decreasing any credit you had so overall an increase in the DD would be likely.
Someone please tell me what money is
