Apple Music on Android

So I make no secret that despite my past I do like my Apple products but the one thing that annoys me with them (and several other companies like Amazon) is that they are poor at dealing with people that travel a lot. So spending 4 months in the americas I wanted to install the local supermarket delivery app but cannot because my ID is locked to the UK and the app is only available for IDs in North America.
Switching country of association causes a host of problems with subscriptions and changing ID is a pain however once an app is installed countries no longer play any part other than to subscription services. So supermarket app can be installed and then switch back to UK ID and it still works.
To deal with the topping up of credit for paying for subscriptions I would buy Apple USD vouchers from Amazon.com and then add them to the account (any other payment method has to be from north america). To do this I had been using a virtual Android device on my wife's laptop and Apple Music which worked fine but shes away at the moment and my balance has just run out.

So, I have a Nokia 1.4 running Android v10 which was an emergency purchase a while back so stuck Apple Music on the device but when going into My Account the Redeem Gift Voucher or Code link is missing... Speaking to Apple they are blaming Nokia but have arranged a call back from lvl2 support this evening.
Anyone else attempted to run Apple Music on a basic Android phone? Any ideas of any settings/permissions etc that may be driving the loss of the feature?
