I currently have fun tv, m200 broadband with virgin and paying £75 per month. Phoned today and explained that my package is to expensive, so they have changed my package to mixit tv and m100 broadband. 18 month contract for £45 per month. I could hardly understand the gentleman on the phone who i was talking to so didn't realise i was changing my tv package. My partner likes watching the history channrls etc but i dont think they are included. I think i may have to use the 14 day cooling of period and cancell my new contract. Was considering moving to now tv and broadband.

So no history channels.  Give virgin a call back via thinking of leaving option explain the situation, see how much extra they will charge you.  If you not happy, then can either put cancellation in with 30 day notice and wait for a call, or an alternative is to get a now tv entertainment pass and the sky history channels are on there.  Get free week, cancel that before week is out and you will likely get an offer to stay with cheaper price.  Im sure virgin will be able to add history channels though

Thanks pz19. Thats a good idea. Definitely will phone virgin back and see if i can get the channels i want at no extra cost if i can. Or will be moving to now tv/broadband for all my services. Or maybe consider just getting the now entertainment pass, but for £9.99 per month, without a discount, not sure if thats an option.

Call virgin say you having second thoughts, you assumed you’d still have same channels when new contract was agreed.  With now, you can sign up for a week free, and before that week ends and you get charged, go through the cancellation process online and you will get an offer to continue with them, maybe £4.99 for 3 or 6 months for example, maybe even better.
