Nationwide Switch Query

Options
Hi,

My wife and I have a joint nationwide flex plus account. I have switched another one of my accounts to this account and had the £125 reward. Would anyone know if my wife can switch one of her accounts to the same Nationwide account and still claim the £125?

A couple can receive three payments for switching accounts to Nationwide, one solo account each and one joint account. The payment is one per account so no, your wife would not receive the switching bonus by switching to the same joint account. What she can do however is open a sole Flex account, as can you, and switch another non Nationwide current account into that to receive another switching bonus, subject to meeting the other criteria.

I already got the incentive for switching current AC.
I have more than one Nationwide current account and still have a few donor account that could be use for switching , is it possible to get the second incentive for switching another account to the second NW account?

Yes, one solo and one joint.
Has anyone tried it (not a join account)? Any result, preferably using pm will be very much appreciated.

I switched out from a Nationwide account to Santander for their switch offer at the end of February. Had the account for many years although only used occasionally.
Just wondering if I could try and open a Nationwide account again and switch to it, from a different account, not Santander.
As the offer is open to existing and not just new accounts, they can't say I closed the old account and open a new one just for the switch offer.

Both myself and OH switched solo's into solo's and a joint into a joint with Nationwide and received 3 lots of switching bonus earlier this year.
If you're meaning switching a solo into a joint account then no I haven't done that. The terms don't state that switching into a joint account requires the switched account to be joint also so it may be possible, give it a go and see what happens.

Edited to add, re-reading clause 4 may actually be a requirement for the switched account to be joint also. I suppose it's down to interpretation.

On the Nationwide terms it states that the switch must be completed within 60 days of you requesting it, even if the offer has been withdrawn as long as you’ve already requested a switch.

Does that mean that if I requested a switch today to be completed in 6 weeks time, I would still be eligible for the offer even if the switching bonus is withdrawn next week. The switch request was made whilst the offer was available, even though it had not started yet. Am I reading it right?

Seems more flexible than some, like the Lloyds switch offer, which has to have started by the 27th June.

    That's how I read it.
I have requested my switch for 5 weeks time and had an acknowledgement from them as to when switch will start and complete
