This is really unhealthy behaviour, and I agree with everyone else that you need to drop this and move on.
You were not unfairly dismissed, so you aren’t going to get to hold anyone to account. All you are doing is laying down real trouble for yourself down the line and making your former employer even happier than they were before that they let you go.
Your complaint is probably being spread round the office for a laugh by now.1 -
Have you ever heard the expression "You're not in the driving seat" or even "Lamb to the slaughter"?
You have no evidence, can show no good reason, hold no trump cards that would persuade them that they came to the wrong decision at the grievance meeting. Bullying managers thrive on making employees (or ex-employees) look small or unhappy.
PUT IT BEHIND YOU AND MOVE ON!
The only person who will come out of this badly will be you. If you go for an appeal and word of this gets out to any potential employers, you will be beyond the bottom of the list of possible candidates. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

They are supposed to be 'working for everyone' and that will at least put your mind at rest and hopefully, your grievance with this employer. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Although I do carry out careful research before posting and never intend to mislead or supply out-of-date or incorrect information, please do not rely 100% on what you are reading. Verify everything in order to protect yourself as you are responsible for any action you consequently take.0 -
Fraid this sorry saga has a lot longer to run and the end result will still be the same, a very bitter, angry ex employee. To continue along this avenue of thinking is insane. There are hundreds of stories on this site re similar where new employees thought/believed that rules/methods/procedures didn't apply to them. They get disciplined and that can range from informal words to dismissal. Still don't believe me and the other posters, feel free to search all the threads that feature Sangie, SarEl and a few others (assuming that they can be found).Do yourself a favour and move on, go get your next job and get your career back on track. Your best revenge should be living your life to its utmost. You can't change the past but you can make your future better.0

> Posting at 3:10am is not a good sign.
Strangely between 9pm-4am is when I'm most productive when dealing with personal tasks.. nigh owl
>You are not going to get an answer to this because nobody could possibly know. What might help someone is different in every situation and we know nothing about the situation, about the employer, about the details.... that is all insider knowledge
I guess true to a point, but there will be general stuff such as terms of the investigation, which witnesses they interviewed and which they did not and why, the investigational report refuting what i have written in my grievance, procedural issues which they did not follow, ...I will check on ACAS website as to what could be reasons for appeal, sometimes you don't spot/realise something until it's pointed out. I'm sure any forums members who work in HR will know the common scams HR use to try to pull one over the complainant.
>All you are doing is laying down real trouble for yourself down the line and making your former employer even happier than they were before that they let you go.
Maybe, but like I said, they have created problems for me too. The only card I have is to run it as far as it will go. I have no job for last 6 months so it's this or sit around and twiddle my thumbs. Even if it all goes against me (which with the rigged system it will) at least the manager will be under the spotlight and he will be less able to keep doing this to other people. Even though higher management will close ranks and stick up for this manager, if it happens again, they will figure out he is part of the problem and hopefully manage him out of the business.
>That's why you join a union.
Usually useless due to Thatcher de-toothing them or more commonly they are in bed with HR (with mutual back scratching) and want to minimise the amount to work they do or refer to the regional centre, if this means stabbing the employee in the back whilst pretending to help them, so be it.0 -
GDPR lead here and late to this but another voice saying you won’t get what you want. The ICO guidance says:
Where possible, you should consider whether it is possible to comply with the request without disclosing information that identifies another individual. If this is not possible, you do not have to comply with the request except where the other individual consents to the disclosure
which means that they won’t give you anything that incriminates in any way the manager or other staff.I’m sorry for your experience. It sounds terrible. But battling away to ‘get it fixed’ I think is going to be stressful and not get you what you want either.2
