Buyer beware. Having just got a holiday in Eygypt with TUI. I checked and you need a visa to enter Egypt. So I went to the Goverment (British) as I didnt want to end up geting one of these companies that "do it for you"....for a fee. SO I followed the instruction and the link on the government website. I thought I was safe.... completed it all, took a payment. I thought it was a little odd that the site didnt tell you the cost, but as I had already checked that out. Have ended up paying over £70 for a visa which should have cost £45. Just checked the "about us " bit and it is Online travel Evisa Society Ltd. So PXXXed off about this.

I’d be interested in seeing that link from gov.uk site as well.
If you are going to Sharm el Sheikh and just staying in that area I don’t think you need a visa anyway. https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/africa/egypt/egypt-red-sea/sharm-el-sheikh/holidays-sharm-el-sheikh/travel-advice[BTW - wrong forum]2 -
Assuming OP would have needed a visa, I can confirm gov.uk is pointing people to what looks like a commercial company.

2nd line under visas.
I can only advise e-mailing the FCDO and asking them to update this advice as it is clearly misleading.💙💛 💔2 -

The is a link at the bottom of the FCDO Egypt visa page - report a problem - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/egypt/entry-requirements
This will be the quickest way to contact FCDO and inform that the link is wrong.
I believe the correct website for e-visa ( if required) is
