Schneider electric charging point - offer

long story short, I have a good friend who's a qualified electrician. he has a brand new Schneider charging point for sale, it's the 22KW model, key, cable etc.
while I don't own a plug-in hybrid or an electric car, the next one will probably be one. my main interest here is to add value to the house. A nice, large driveway with a garden and a safe, reliable charging point should be a selling point. I can get this installed for peanuts, but should I do it?
I don't know much about chargers, is Schneider a reliable brand? is it worth getting this now or should I wait a bit longer?
charging point + accessories + installation + sign-off comes at £500...
any advice?

I'd have serious concerns about that as that unit couldn't even be purchased for anywhere near that price, never mind installed correctly. As for your other question, Schneider is a quality brand for electrical installation accessories and switchgear. However, although I have fitted many EVSEs (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), I haven't fitted any Schneider units so can't comment on their charge points specifically.0

It’s someone I’ve known closely for 20+ years, I’m not doubting the offer, I’ve seen the product. This is someone who would rewire my house at cost price, so don’t worry about the price gap.
looking at the specs though, it seems it needs between 380-415V to function and I don’t have that.0 -
I will defer to the experts but I am not aware of many EVs that can charge at 22kW. BMWs, for example, can charge at 7.4kW on a single phase supply and 11kW on a 3-phase supply. If memory serves when the BMW i3 came out 7 years ago the BMW Wallbox was a Schneider product.
