Those look like prepayment or cash/cheque rates, not DD ones.
Can you tell us how you pay your bills?

Ther eare three separate caps; DD, cash/cheque and prepayment.
The DD rate is lowest, typically with the prepayment one next and the cash/cheque being highest. This is meant to reflect the cost of administering each type of account.
Ofgem's table of triffs is here and, for electricity in southern Scotland, the caps are:
    • Other (ie. DD): SC cap £172.58, bill cap £994.46
    • Standard credit (Cash/cheque): SC cap £193.61, bill cap £1059.30
    • Prepayment: SC cap £189.65, bill cap £1004.65

Are you giving them monthly (or more frequent) meter readings? If so, and they are ignoring them when it comes to creating your annual estimate, then it's time to complain I'd suggest.  Could you post your annual consumption and also what figures EDF are estimating?

Edf is useless . USELESS im on the phone to them at least once a month to get my readings and bill straight. If you submit your readings they happen to disappear. I doubt complaining will change anything. My electricity annual usage has been 1166 and they decided its 4000 or so. After being with them for 5 months they now decided its 2500 . I have no idea where they get those numbers from. They are waste of time really
  • It surprises me that you've even had that level of information from them yet - we're not due a first bill for several months! Our supply from them is just gas - and handily I know pretty much precisely what we use, and that won't change (unless I start cooking a lot more, or stop cooking altogether!). I know our current DD (which they've taken directly across from UP) is too low, have just made a one-off payment to bring us back into credit and again, and will fairly shortly be looking to increase the DD to a level that will mean we should run into October with a "little" cushion of credit.

Might the problem be that your electricity use is very low and they are struggling to make sense of it? Do you have a note of the readings that you had previously submitted to UP covering the last year or 18 months that you coud send to them to help make your use clearer?

I have screenshots of all my readings from 2020 with UP and since they took over they also should have my correct annual usage. They keep saying the system is not allowing them to change this . I seriously wish things will change and i can leave them. They issue bills on random days , delete readings i submit so then need to call them, they delete bills from my account. Its a mess and customer service is just the worst. I font even wsnt dd eith them as im sure they will mess it up and ask me to pay random high figure monthly. I hope from april there will be somewhere to change to even if its the same yearly amount. Ive been with small companies for years and years and its been great no issues .
