Eon dispute

I have a disputed bill with eon and I am working with citizens advice on this, they have advised me to switch and I was thinking of fixing with Sainsbury's, I know it's not a good time to switch but I'm on a variable rate and the new rate would be 13p more a kWh and 14p a day standing if I fix for two years. This seems a good deal with the possible 70% raise in bills by Christmas... My worry is, if I owe £220 with eon next and Sainsbury's is partnering with them, 1. Will they switch and 2. If I do will eon next be able to add their bill to my Sainsbury's account? Thank you for any help it's really appreciated

1- no you'll have to pay off the debt.
2- no it cannot be transferred.
Make sure your meter readings are accurate, that may bring down you debt if you have estimated reading's, or you could owe more.0 -
Sainsburys Energy is Eon Next - the account will be the same0

I know I have to pay the debt but ca said I can switch as long as under £250 which it is, but as Sainsbury's is not eon can they add the bill to the new account?0

I know they are partners but surly being different companies they cannot add a bill from one account to the other can they?0

Sainsbury's Energy is E.ON Next, so same staff, same billing systems, same supply license etc. If you were able to switch then you might not even get a new account with them. Your tariff would change and not much else. You've been given the wrong advise by CA as that relates to people with prepayment meters only.
You'd be better off trying to resolve the current dispute you have with E.ON.0 -
Ok thank you0
