Ev charger point

Hi all I'm considering getting an ev charger point, however I'm wondering if its possible as I have a detached garage with 10m of land in between the house and garage the total length of cable from fuse board to charge point will possible be about 30m.
Is this possible and roughly what cost. There are slabs from house to garage could they put the cable underneath them? There is only a wooden fence connecting the two buildings.
Thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible - it's just an armoured cable and a box on the wall. But why not just ask an electrician for a quote? They would also be able to advise about where the cable could run.

In my case they use rubberised cable ... but then it is tacked along the side wall of the house so doesn't need to go underground. In the OP's case then armoured cable will be needed (or rubberised cable in armoured ducting/conduit).
As long as suitable cross-section cable is used (6 mm2 at least) then a 30m run is not a concern. Of more concern is ensuring you have a consumer supply that is capable ... do you have a 100A main protection fuse?
As to cost - speak with an EV charge point installer. You may still be in time to apply for the OZEV grant (£350) as I believe this ends (for applications) on 31-Mar-22.Jenni x1 -
Easy 10mm 2core SWA armoured cable will cost you £120 ish for 30m I’d lay CAT 6 data cable at the same time.
Get an electrician to spec the job and then get a shovel and start digging, should be laid about 500mm deep. An electrician does not want to be digging trenches and laying patio slabs that’s like getting Lewis Hamilton to drive a school bus, he can do it but it’s not really his speciality.1 -
