Renewable only tariffs
Surely green tariffs using only renewables should not be effected by gas price rises? I only use electricity and have a ground source heat pump. I have a 24 month fixed tariff until 10/23 with Octopus of 24.45 kWh and 24.86 per day and use about 7600 kw per year. Will I pay more from April? And how do renewables fit in?

Energy prices are a world market, so even if you have a "pure" renewable supplier, like Ecotricity, Good Energy etc they are equally affected by spot-market prices for electricity. They are not subject to the Ofgem cap, so are far more expensive at the moment. Octopus use offsetting to "green-up" their supply, so are subject to the cap.As you are on a fix, your rate will not change in April, October or April 23.0

Co op energy do a community tariff that is fully (I believe) purchased direct from generators and it’s much cheaper than good energy for example0

Co-op is a white label of Octopus.
