Hi everyone,
I enjoyed my day with Esben although he still isn't his usual sunny self, he would only nap clinging to someone like a monkey, at first only mummy would do, then I was ok and finally daddy. L & B made some progress with sorting their things, Brian consented to discarding his cds and some of his shoes (he's a clothes hoarder, especially shoes which he buys in multiples).
We've got Chris and Crystal calling in for lunch, they are bringing a painting to be framed by the person we use. They had taken it to one local to them and asked for a dark wood frame and the framer had refused saying it needed to be cream. I understand that they have their opinion but cream wouldn't have suited the room so C & C said no and took it away.
I can't remember what everyone else was up to except Florence with her cute bunnies. Gers, I'm glad you got home safely.
Have a good day.15 -
Morning
Yeah its my favourite day. Nice lie in and Sunday best donned... PJs with a big fat cosy dressing gown.
Absolutely no house jobs on the list and no calls to do. Heaven
Plans are to pick up a new book finally and no doubt watch some trash TV
Got most things done yesterday so today could be mine all mine! TV was full of sport so no distractions for me although I did watch the Tinder Swindler on Netflix which I enjoyed. First reaction was how can women be so stupid but as it moves on its clear what a master manipulator he was…scary.
Food today will be dippy eggs for brekky and a ham roast for dinner. Ham, roast pots and Yorkshires all Christmas leftovers from the freezer so just need to add the veg and gravy.
May do the banana bread too for pud but still not sure if they are soft enough
Gers Yes anticipation is one thing but down right impatience is kicking in now!
Have a lovely Sunday all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I wish I could say I'm a bit late this morning due to sleeping in but sadly not! I get embroiled in all sorts of stupid things and lose track of time! It's miserable and the rain is coming down like stair rods and forecast to remain so all day. I'm glad I have nowhere to go!
I haven't heard yet if I have youngest DGD here or not whilst middle one is in Leeds for her dancing. It's always last minute, depending on whether big sister will be there to mind her. She has to await word on whether she is needed for her w/e job! I will have a lazy day if she's not here. If she is here her craft box and knitting will be out as usual!
Have a good day folks if you can and I hope the weather is better than here. ((HUGS)) for all in need of them and take care one and all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Morning everyone
Just finishing my breakfast then I'll go down and sit with dad while mam goes to church. It will be the first time she's been for a while as part of the church roof blew off in storm Arwen, so it's been closed till today.
DD asked if she could bring little one up later for a couple of hours so she can finish packing as they're going to Butlins tomorrow. I think we're going to have Chinese for tea.
I still feel tired and achy all the time and have a headache which nothing seems to shift - quite fed up with it now. I'm off work again this next week and then the next week is half term - that gives me two more weeks to get better.
Well I'd better get sorted - hope everyone has a good day x14 -
Morning all
Dry here for the moment and quite windy, I stripped the beds this morning and got them on a hot wash they can go out on the line if it stays dry.
Last year at this time I planted a load of snowdrops in the front garden as well as some yelow primroses the snowdrops have started to come through just a few but they are so pretty, hopefully they will spread over the years, I will wait and hope that the primroses come through too.
House guest has gone home and we really miss her she is such a funny little pup, wont miss the little accidents though, but it wont be long before she is house trained.
Will get the dogs out for a good walk later and then hopefully have a lazy afternoon and watch a film.
Dinner is a burger and chips we are not having a roast as dd is getting a bit fed up with them as we are having two a week atm, I will maybe do one every other week for a while.
Beds to be remade later and another wash to go on.
Have good days all xxx14 -
Morning all and thanks for the thread Gers.
It’s a grey but dry start here, but we are due rain at lunchtime. I am meeting two neighbours for either a walk or coffee – think coffee will win out. Both were left by their husbands of over 20 years, just like that, with two children each to bring up. One is on the cusp of moving due to the divorce settlement, so will be good to catch up and see how she’s doing.
I’m off to see SingTwo later – DH will be watching the rugby. We are also booked to see Death on the Nile on Tuesday.
Floss – DS2s job is only part time – usually Saturday and Sunday (16 hrs) but as it’s half term he has been rota’d on for extra shifts. He gets his payslips electronically and I’ve never seen one, so will need to check if he’s even taxed – don’t think so though? Thanks for the tip.
Florence – those bunnies are so adorable.
Glad Esben is feeling brighter snoozer.
Dinner tonight is beef rib (from A!di), potatoes and veg. Just the two of us as DS2 is working.
Have a good day everyone

Raining hard here. Going to Sunday lunch with youngest son and family. I was gifted a lemon cake yesterday so will take that for dessert.
Did a meal plan yesterday and was amazed to find I have over 20 potential meals in the freezer and cupboards.Florence: love the bunnies!8 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
This weekend was supposed to be an easy one.......I put the day bed on Gumtree yesterday, chap is coming to collect it shortly, so have had to sort out the machine boxes that were under the bed, some of them will go under our bed. Not too sure about the rest need to have a think. I had forgotten just how big the box was for the stellaire It must be at least 3ft square.
Veggies prepped for tonights supper. DB has been pottering in the shed out of the wind, it has just started to rain, so he is in.
I have to sort out the clothes etc for tomorrow, we are staying in an hotel close to the De Montfort Hall overnight. Have an appointment to get out new plates checked on Tuesday so can do that on the way home. Wednesday we are at the little chapel coffee morning and in Leicester again after lunch for my first pacemaker check for 3 years.
Roast pork and veggies for supper, not sure if we are going to have a dessert or not.
