Question for Roofers

Hope Roofers can help with this query. My roof was put on when house built in 1960s. Main beams are in good condition but the 'tail ends of rafters' (American term but hope you know what I mean), are a bit rotten. How much extra would it be to get rid of rotten ends, seal with wood preserver to stop further rot and then 'sister' prior to putting up fascias? It's one side of 3 bedroom semi so guestimate is maybe 10 beam ends. I saw USA builders doing this repair, on u-tube, but don't know if UK builders do it. Any advice is much appreciated.

You need a chippie rather than a roofer, but they will understand tails instead of ends1

Thanks stuart45. I need the whole roof done including gutters and downpipes. But would need the above repair/s done first, while old tiles and felt off. Hopefully can get a carpenter and roofer who work together.0

A roofer could probably do that job as it's quite basic. I'm a bricklayer and could do it.0
