Hi, I am looking at taking out breakdown cover for my van and car
My van transit connect 155,000 miles on it, car has only done 40,000 miles
I’ve looked at RAC and the limit is 150k I think, so that rules them out.
Greenflag don’t seem to have any mileage limit, but reviews online don’t look to great.
Does anyone have any other options I could take out.

We used Greenflag for a few years. They use local garages rather than have their own patrols.

We found them very good when we had to call them out.

I have read that if they recover you, that if they take you anymore more than 10 miles, either a garage or home you are charged extra.

Only if you have the cheapskate policy.  Daughter has that free with her insurance, not covered for less than 1 mile from home and a max
tow upto 10 miles.  But it only cost £6 on top of the next cheapest price so thought why not.

She works less than 10 miles from home and she has me to sort anything else out. If the policy is not suitable then it can be upgraded
for full onward travel and homestart etc. which could be recovered hundreds of miles.

I have a caravan and it will bring me home and even drop my caravan off at the storage compound.  Not the usual one destination
only cover that most of them have.

As others have mentioned, they dont have their own vehicles, though do pay some companies to paint their trucks in the greenflag livery, which means quality probably varies a little more as its inevitably more difficult to maintain a certain level when multiple others are delivering the service level... this in theory goes both ways though and so you can get better than expected/entitled service (again see above example) as well as worse.

Even with the big brands with own vehicles things can be variable as had a problem with my VW car and got someone out to deal with an electrics problem and the chap said that he couldnt do anything and that I should call again because they did the VW Breakdown and those vans had more diagnostic kit but because I was with the underlying service provider I couldnt request a VW Breakdown vehicle and was recommended to just keep calling them out until I randomly got one.
