Invoice - date range

Options
Hi, on my invoices for one of my customers its more convenient for us both if i calculate hours and cost per week rather than per day, e.g. February Wk1, Wk2 etc. Would this be acceptable to HMRC? Thanks

    No reason why not.

Our invoices are monthly and simply say 20 days @ £X = £Y + VAT etc

If you want to do yours weekly and be more granular then thats fine, if you want to do it at a higher level you could. HMRC wont care but it can help to avoid disputes if more information is included rather than less

Yes this is perfectly OK and is in fact the norm.  However, I would keep a note of hours per day for your records so that if a customer queries the hours that you submit, yo will be able to give them a breakdown.
