Travel Insurance only paying accomodation for extended stay due to catching covid

Hi all, we went to Florida for 2 weeks, ended up having to stay for 4, son caught covid and then husband. Airline changed our flights free of charge. Sent of insurance claim, including receipts for meals (mostly uber eats deliveries as we had to isolate) it looks like they wont cover any of the meals, not happy does any else have experience of this please?

What reason have they given?

Presumably they’re thinking that you would have had to eat anyway, regardless of where you were. More expensive if you’ve had to order in - would they pay a proportion for that extra cost?

arghh, room only!! Still don't think it's right not to pay all out of pocket expenses though
