Friend bringing me some books this morning and will probably stop for coffee. Think I am going to sit and do a meal plan and a Tesco order in a minute. Homemade Mushroom soup for tea.
snoozer, glad Steves op went well11 -
Morning all,
A sad day at work yesterday as boss’s sister died overnight, so I was busy clearing her schedule for the foreseeable. Boss was always planning to be off yesterday as had planned to visit, but it wasn’t to be ☹
I fell asleep at 9.30pm last night – just couldn’t keep my eyes open. Today I’m visiting the building society with DS2 to finally pay in his birthday money and sort his adult accounts out. He is on half term this week and is working 7 days out of the next 9 – the golden arches are very short staffed it would seem. Trouble is he only has two sets of uniform so I’ll be washing small loads all week – can’t put anything else in with the work clothes as it’s contaminating !
Off to A!di later for the food shop, just making a list now. DH is sanding down doors. Think I got the better deal 😊
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning all. The wind is back again, grey skies and rain expected later. In fact, the weatherman says that's the picture for the next few days.
I managed to dismiss the cobwebs from the stairwell yesterday afternoon by tying a long handled feather duster to the paint roller extension pole, that in one hand and the other hand clinging on to the hand rail and trying not to look down a steep flight of stairs. I'm not good with heights so was pleased when it was done. Wouldn't you know, not long after that DS paid us a surprise visit - if I'd known he was coming, he would have done it for me. Still, it was nice to see him and have a catch up face to face - much better than phone calls which have been the norm thanks to Covid.
DH changed his mind about kippers for tea yesterday, so egg & chips it was, as per the menu. Tonight we're having a picky tea of seafood bits with hm brown bread & butter. I'll be using up one of the sachets of the past its best pack of lemon meringue pie mix to make lemon cream pots for afters.
We don't normally watch TV during the day (prefer the radio) but I expect DH will have it on this afternoon for the Six Nations rugby. Sometimes I watch with him, sometimes not, it all depends what else I want/need to do. I think I'll do an online grocery order for mid-week instead; there's enough on the shopping list to warrant a delivery. Other than that, there's nothing in particular planned for today - although I'm sure there's plenty I could be doing!
Snoozer: Glad to hear Steve's op went well.
Right, the kettle is calling me for a cuppa, so I'll wish everyone a good Saturday filled with only the best. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.6 -

Afternoon everyone
Lovely bunnies Florenceem - little one has a little grey bunny she sleeps with at my house.
I read through this morning's posts while she watched 'We're going on a bear hunt' earlier - for the hundredth time - we both know all the words!
DD picked her up a little while ago - they're going to a birthday at a soft play place not far away.
We've had a lovely morning - painting, jigsaws and games - though I'm quite ready for some peace now!
Going to have a very easy tea of pizza, fries and coleslaw.
Forgotten already what everyone was up to today - so I'll just hope you all have a good one!
The wind is wild here yet again - we never seem to get two calm days in a row
Take care x9 -
Had a passing visit from Ds, Dil to be and 3 noisy but gorgeous children.
Finished another bunny.
