Amazon Returns not Returning!

I sent an item back to Amazon and once I dropped it off at the shop, I received a refund within hours, A month later got a reminder to send the item back, even though I had done. A week later, they took the money from my account again for the goods that I returned!
On speaking to to them they apologised and said it was happening quite a lot due to warehouse staff not being quick enough to report that the goods had in fact been returned and received. They are refunding me once again but watch out!
