Which 25 metre ethernet cable?

If it is going to be exposed directly to the weather then you really need weatherproof CAT6 network cables.

Haven't done an detailed search to see if there is cheaper it was just an example.

High numbers mean thinner cable so don't get 28AWG thinking it is better, it will be nearly half the diameter of 24 AWG.

No idea but it is overpriced by about 3 times the going rate. If it is certified Cat 6 and 24 AWG then there isn't much more you will get by spending (wasting) the extra £50 on 4x the one you have linked to from an unknown source on Amazon.

As above, I'd opt for something stating weatherproof. 
Personal choice.
Scorchio....freezing....scorchio...freezing, year after year. I'd want something that at least claims to withstand that. 

I opted for Cat6 in the end as I figured 'fututeproofing' in a way. Probably overkill for what I actually need but for the minimal extra cost at the time over cat5 or was it cat5e? Can't remember. I opted for cat6 as it was just superior so there was no reason not to. 

I now see cat7 & 8 advertised. They were probably available at the time as well. 

Cat6 does me for what I need.

Thought that'd be the case.

When i started hardwiring it was cat5 that was suggested, or cat5e, moreso than cat6. Over time some would go the cat6 route from what I was reading but still most seemed to opt for cat5/e.

The difference in cost between the 5 & 6 was not much at all if anything from what i remember so that's why i went the 6 route.

NO, NO, NO! No-one should ever buy a cable like that.

The give-away is "CCA" in the description which stands for Copper Clad Aluminium. This means that the twisted pairs of wires used to transmit data and power are cheap aluminium coated with copper which are nowhere near as resilient or reliable as "solid copper" wires.

I would recommend Kenable cables (I have literally thousands of metres of their cables running through my house and grounds) and you can get a 25m outdoor solid copper Cat6 cable for under £20 via Amazon.

There seems to be different types of cat6. cat6 shielded and cat6 patch, whats the difference?
I dont have the tools to add the connectors on myself so need to buy a ready made cable

A bit late now but you would have been much better off just buying a reel of cable and also buying the tools to add the connectors. Unless each run happens to be exactly 25m it would have been tidier to have the exact length of cable.
