Dishwasher Warranty

Just wondering if anyone knows what rights we have to a refund in this circumstance.
We are three years in to a five year warranty
Dishwasher broke down last November (reported to supplier early December). Phoned support centre - no trace of us or appliance. Emailed customer service - slow to respond and eventually had an engineer visit mid December and apparently repaired.
Worked for two cycles before same error happened again. Contacted customer care and no response until after Christmas.
Engineer visited again early January and ordered two new arms for us. Four weeks on these have not arrived. Customer services keep advising these have been dispatched. Escalated to CEO and now apparently being looked after by the Exec team. In spite of assurances, that spare parts will be dispatched asap, two weeks on we are still chasing and now it's radio silence once again from the team.
I know we have only 2 years left on the warranty, but does anyone know if we are entitled to a refund (partial?) or is this a case of writing this experience off and buy another dishwasher from a brand we trust.
We were without a working dishwasher over Christmas (real pain as we had family over) and really want a working dishwasher before Easter!

If they are failing to make good on the warranty, the mechanism would be that you get a local repair person to fix it, and then pass the bill onto them. Clearly if they aren't doing it you have little choice but to get someone else to do it.
You'd need to write to them and give them a deadline to get it fixed, get some quotes for the repair, get it done, pay the invoice, ask them to pay, and be prepared to go to court to recover what you've paid if they don't cough up.
A whole heap of agro you can probably do without, so ideally chase them and make yourself a nuisance until they get it done.0 -
Thanks Facehead.
That was one route I hadn't thought about. May be worth talking to someone and see if they can easily get hold of these spare parts (we've had no joy).
Just wish if they didn't have the part in stock in the UK that they tell us rather than string us along. Hubby just researched spare parts at various suppliers. One of the parts is on a 28 day - 8 week lead-time. Guess we now know why they've not been able to dispatch!
