Currently on SO Carrot Essential v2 which ends 18/03/22.
Will then go onto SO flex variable tariff. They've not released what their variable tariff rates are going to be after the new price cap comes in.
SO have offered me SO Gooseberry Two year loyalty fixed which I have accepted. I still have 4 days left of my cooling off period.
The rates for this are:
ElectUnit Rate (Day): 36.5300p/kWh Unit Rate (Night): 26.9900p/kWh Standing Charge 24.0900p/day (£87.93/year) Early Termination Charge £40.00 per fuel (inc VAT)
GasUnit Rate 8.4200p/kWh Standing Charge 26.1100p/day (£95.30/year) Early Termination Charge £40.00 per fuel (inc VAT)
Should I cancel the fixed rate tariff they've offered and go on the variable rate when my current tariff expires?

Unless you're an *extremely* low user (under 1000kWh/yr) the capped variable rate will cost much less now and will continue to cost a little less from April to October.

No, not a low user. Looking at my last bill SO have estimated my annual usage as 4500kWh electric and 11000kWh gas.
I'll cancel my move to the 2 year fix then and move to their variable tariff once the current tariff expires in March.0
