Antarctica Expedition Cruise

Has anyone done an expedition cruise to the Antarctic ? If so any tips or things which you wish you had known before you went we are going with Hurtigru**n. Thank you x

Not to the Antartic but any time I travel I like to read the relevant sections of Rough Guide or similar so I know what to expect and what to look forward to.
If I'm going someplace scenic I want good quality lightweight binoculars or an excellent monocular. I had a great one that fit in my pocket but managed to drop it sadly but it was easy to carry so was always available for those "oh look at that!" moments.
And for any cruise - sea sick pills of some sort.
