Changing Amazon Platinum statement date

My statement is generated on the 9th of every month and it's a bit awkward to have it on this date. I've asked their chat how to make it so that it's towards the end of the month but they keep telling me to change the payment due date and that the statement will be generated 25 days prior to this date. Right now, I've been told that my payment due date is apparently on the 3rd of March but the app's telling me my due date is 7th of March - I assume that the date is changed due to this month being 28 days.
Has anyone been able to change the statement date around the 24th or 26th of the month?
I'm thinking of changing my payment due date to the 18th of the month, which should get the statement generated around the 24th of the month.

It sounds as if they've changed the system since I changed my statement date (in October 2020). Then, I phoned and they simply changed the statement date to my preference - the 20th. The result is that the payment due date wobbles around a bit, depending on the length of the month in which the statement is generated. It sounds as if they now fix the payment due date, with the result that the statement date will wobble around a bit. This is, in my experience, a little unusual. However, it's not totally unreasonable. Statement dates will, in any case, move a bit from month to month simply because NewDay doesn't like producing them on non-working days.If you set your payment due date to the 20th, you ought to get statements generated anywhere between 23rd (February, non-leap years) and 26th (months with 31 days). Can you cope with that?If I look at my account on the web, it doesn't say that my payments will be due on a fixed date: it says that they're currently due "On or around the 14th of the month". This makes me wonder if they do, in fact, set wobbly statement dates as I described above, or just have an odd way of changing them. In fact, my payment is due to be collected on the 14th this month. That's as early as it gets: I'd expect it to be around the 17th next month.

I've called them up and they said I'll have to change the payment due date to be able to have my statement date changed, which indicates that the statement date will change every now and then. The weird thing is that my current statement is generated on the 9th so maybe they've got fixed dates and I can't really choose the exact date unless it falls into their dates.blue.peter said:It sounds as if they've changed the system since I changed my statement date (in October 2020). Having the statements between 23-26 is fine as that's better than having it at the start of the month for me.0
