I doubt many people are going to the extremes of the OP, but following some of the tips in this thread (such as wearing thin thermal base layers) have made me much more comfortable on very cold days when my living room storage heater struggles to keep the room warm towards late evening.

Haters gonna hate. Some of them repeatedly, as if they forgot they've already made largely the same comment a few pages back.

Each to their own but I'm guessing they're not in debt to the energy companies, or anyone else probably. Hats off to them I say

We are not in debt to them either but we do so warm and comfortable in our own home!

i think if its a choice of giving money away on energy bills or other quality of life spending - its perfectly legitimate.

But for others its harder - its literally heat or eat - and if suggestions about clothing or heat the person keeps folks like that going - in limit living or more often just healthier and so out of our gp surgeries and hospitals - then this whole thread justified.

i could afford to heat more - but saving £10s a month is a couple of coffees or beers with friends.

i dont walk around in outdoor or ski clothing indoor, but i dont wear tshirts either.

For me its simply a choice.

For others less fortunate though maybe a necessity.
