so a bit of background first we recieved a parking fine in a free car park at Christmas 4 years ago !
the parking was manic in a retail park and we parked between two cars turns out it wasn't an actual parking bay just a space next to where the parking bays had ended and the other car was just parked there giving the illusion that there was a space we came back after shopping 20 mins later to find a ticket for parking illegally
we ignored all the letters as advised in these forums but now we have a letter for the county court business center for 300£
so do I now send a sar form ? what is the best course of action please
regards
Paul

It wasn't illegal , no laws were broken , it was for a Civil matter , breach of contract for breaking the on-site rules due to not parking in a marked bay
Yes email a SAR to the DPO at the parking company
Which parking company ? ( and which lawyers ? If any ? )
 Which location ?
Date of issue from the claim form ?
Then read the fifth post and second post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements and then read the defence template post by coupon mad again in announcements at the top of the forum , then start drafting paragraphs 2 and 3 , then post only those adapted paragraphs below for critique2

Ok , but we need that claim form issue date to give you your deadlines ( not the PCN date , the claim date )
If it's UKPC , then it's usually dcb legal !!

 DEFENCE
It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question but liability is denied.
Yes we parked here on this date but we parked between 2 cars believing it was a designated parking bay at Christmas time which was hectic with very few spaces available so we saw a space between 2 cars and parked in it it was not on a roadway and we were not blocking anyone or anything

You have shown the world enough information that someone, anyone, with an evil intent could easily file a Defence on your behalf saying totally inappropriate stuff.
You must immediately email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com asking them to delete those images.

With a Claim Issue Date of 8th February, you have until Monday 28th February to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an AoS before 12th February, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 14th March 2022 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3
