Ripped off by booking.com and Britannia hotel

Yeah basically i booked for 08/12/21 at 00:30 on 09/10/21. it sounds a bit strange booking after 00:00,  but their sister hotel had double booked my room so I was trying to find somewhere else to stay.

In those circumstances I'd have expected the hotel that had double booked you to find you some alternative accomodation
