Libre Office formatting question

Hello,
I use Libre Office which is great but I'm having a little problem.
When I use Writer, I indent my paragraphs but then if I have to convert it into Word for other people to read my document, it loses these paragraph indentations. They are all in line with the margin and not indented at all. (Hope I've explained that clearly!)
Does anyone know please how to convert a Writer document i.e. .odt format into a .docx document WITHOUT losing the formatting? Obviously I don't have Microsoft Office!
Thanks.

Thanks for trying that. How did you create your paragraphs? By using Format -> Paragraphs -> Indents and Spacing?
And then doing 'save as' and selecting Word 2007 - 2019? That's what I do and then when I sent the document, people tell me the paragraphs are no longer indented!0 -
I'm not using Linux but that wouldn't make a difference would it?

I doubt it

My writer says Word2007-365 its version 7.2.5....My doc was quick and dirty i.e. just using tab , I will try again when I come back home. Have you got a phone / tablet with android/ios you could check yours using the free Microsoft Word app there.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I can keep the formatting if I use tabs to indent rather than paragraphs, but it needs to be done with paragraphs. The recipients prefer it! Trying to avoid having to buy Office if I can! Don't have Word at the moment on my phone - getting a new phone tomorrow so I will then!0

Okay, I have answered my own question. The trick is to use paragraph styles! It works now!1
