What is happening

I'm not after advice, judgement or anything but I wanted to vent.


Earlier today I was seriously assaulted unprovoked by someone whom was riding  e-scooter down the pavement.
He whacked into my arm deliberately then followed me unknown to myself half a mile before assaulting me and me ending up seriously injured on the floor.


I haven't bothered to report it to the Police,  as a few weeks ago someone I know was assaulted and the Police didn't do anything, not even review CCTV.

I am now over the emotion, and angry now how this is allowed to go on.
I see constantly now assaults, stabbings, robberies etc every single day now in the media and nothing is being done about it.


How many more lives will be ruined until the Police act.


Again this assault today witnessed by 3 people, and even they said no point reporting it to the Police as they will do nothing.

That said lucky I didn't need an ambulance as that would be a day wait here so I am told, but that's another story.

Sorry to hear about your assault. You should have reported it to the police. 

Each crime is different, and each crime may or may not be investigated. Not reporting it to the Police means that there is no chance it will be investigated. If the crimes are capturated in the crime statistics, there is a chance the lice and the Crime Commissioners may amend their priorities, but if crimes are not reported, the statistics won't show the true picture.

It is not too late to report it to the Police and I would encourage you to do so, even if they don't investigate, it will be there in the statistics.

Well the Police can't do anything if you don't report it.

Well if you don't report it then certainly nothing will be done.

Without evidence to identify the culprit the polce are rather stuck.

If you do not report the crime the police cannot investigate it and cannot act.
