Hairdresser ruined my hair.

I attended a salon 10 days ago who assured me they could do a root stretch on my blonde hair without the darker colour going very copper like it has done on all previous attempts by a different hairdresser.
Within 6 days of having it done the colour washed out... I approached the salon and explained I wasn't happy, I paid £118 to have this done and if I knew the same thing would happen I wouldn't have bothered.
The hair cut is also horrendous and I asked politely could I have a refund so I could go back to my original stylist and have it put back to all blonde and the hair cut corrected.
The lady got very irate on the phone told me I will not be receiving a refund, since then I have had a message from the hairdresser saying if they recieve any further correspondence from me they will forward all previous messages and any messages received to their solicitor, I have not been unprofessional or unpleasant.
Where do I stand with this?
Should I just let it go and learn from bad experience?

Depends how much you want to go down the small claims , money claim online, route .
Make your claim reasonable , the original payment and any cost by a 2nd hairdresser to remedy . Possibly a letter from the 2nd hairdresser explaining any issues they found .
With the pictures I would say a good chance of a win .
