Speeding ticket

Options
My problem is is I went through a speed camera at 5 mph above the speed limit on the day I put the car in my name we lived at the same address but unfortunately my partner died 2 months ago and all mail for her goes to a different address and the car was registered in her name

Being over by 5 MPH on your speedo is unlikely to cause any action to be taken. Even in a 30 (where 35 is the starting point for action), 35 on your speedo is likely to be a real world 33 or less.

Sorry to hear of your loss. This possible speeding ticket is of little consequence compared to the loss of your partner and should be of no concern. Should a speeding ticket eventually materialise, I'm sure the fact it was posted to someone recently deceased will be taken into account.
“Like a bunch of cod fishermen after all the cod’s been overfished, they don’t catch a lot of cod, but they keep on fishing in the same waters. That’s what’s happened to all these value investors. Maybe they should move to where the fish are.”   Charlie Munger, vice chairman, Berkshire Hathaway

As above, action against you is unlikely at that speed, However, not only will it be taken into account - it will make convicting you impossible. A "request for driver's details" will be sent to the Registered Keeper and must be completed by that person, naming the driver (you). You would then receive your own request which you must reply to. Your reply would be used as evidence that you were driving. Without it no prosecution can succeed.

If you are continuing to use this vehicle you should register it in your name and at your address.
