France are due to announce they're dropping the requirement for vaccinated UK residents to be tested before travelling to France - at least according to the Daily Mail and https://www.thelocal.fr/20220208/france-reportedly-set-to-lift-covid-test-requirements-for-vaccinated-travellers/
P&O are running a £20 return day trip deal (Calais-Dover) - though booze limits are low compared to the generous pre-Brexit restrictions.
£20 Day Trip | Dover to Calais | P&O Ferries| P&O Ferries (poferries.com)
So if you fancy a day trip (Bruges is a nice place to visit if you have time) and some cheap booze from Carrefour then it's now possible.
There are good deals on spirits on the ferry - I got 47% Bombay Sapphire at £13.50/litre bottle recently.
You're allowed to bring back (per adult):
Anything above those limits means you have to pay duty on the full amount if caught.
