Do I need SSL? If so how do I do "Let's Encrypt" SSL for 123-reg domains

I have a small company startup and have bought a couple of 123-reg domains.
I use the domains for email only and they redirect emails to my Microsoft 365 email account.
Have not built a website - have no real need for my type of work and would be a waste of money. Would only be me reading it!
Question 1 - do I still need SSL on my domains?
Question 2 - if I do need SSL then need cost to be minimal - have been reading about free SSL via Let's Encrypt - how do I add that onto a 123-reg domain though?
Question 3 - how can I get Let's Encrypt SSL to update automatically on 123-reg?
With thanks - I'm a startup with big ambitions but a very small budget!

You don't "need" SSL as such unless you're like doing online shopping/collecting personal information.1) Not necessarily, though its tooted Google will drop it down the search results if you don't (not that you need it as you don't have a website).2) You don't. https://letsencrypt.org/getting-started/ - "If you manage your website entirely through a control panel like cPanel, Plesk, or WordPress, there’s a good chance you don’t have shell access." [and so Lets Encrypt will not work]. 123-Reg doesn't appear on the supported list.3) See 2.Of course if you don't use the domains for hosting and only use the email then you probably have nothing to worry about and little to gain.

If all you do is email forwarding then having an SSL cert will serve you no purpose as different protocols are used for mail.2
