Costings for refurb

Wondering if anyone can give approx costs for knocking down load bearing wall between dining room and kitchen to make it open plan plus the cost of a new kitchen?

Comments

  • Living through exactly that sort of thing at the moment - £18K for building works plus £9K for new kitchen.
Building works include knocking down load bearing wall, adding a wall between kitchen and utility and blocking doors between dining room and living room, so we end up with kitchen diner and separate utility room. Though once the cupboards started coming off the walls we found issues with lintels, electrics and plumbing so fully expecting the building costs to end up being more.
