Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, looks cold start for the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, rice and veg - tonight we'll be having LO roast beef braised in stock, LO yorkshires, veg and gravy.
Yesterday work wasn't too bad, today I have an early meeting which means I need to leave for work early to give me time to get into the office and get the computer set up ready for the zoom meeting.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thank goodness Monday is over, I really struggled at work yesterday, felt so weary! Anyway, I had a good sleep so should manage today. My boss is really good and told me to leave just after 3, not sure I would have been any use anyway.
Raining this morning but thankfully no frost. The car was really iced up yesterday, took ages to get it cleared. The school playground was awful especially when it started to rain but there weren't any casualties thank goodness.
Glad you had a great birthday Jackie and were thoroughly spoilt.
Good luck with the zoom meeting nmlc, something I really despise!
Lovely gifts Florence.
Enjoy your house visitor Ruby.
Hugs to those in need, have a good day if you can. Take care.XX13 -
Morning all
Got woken a bit earlier by the house guest wanting to go out for a wee, she was crying and howling a bit, I got up and let her out and she did the biggest wee, she must have been desperate bless her ! no accidents overnight again which is good.
Off to work for me and it will be just me and one client today so it should be a peaceful day, this guy is the king of soup making his soup is always delicious so thats what he will be doing today, he needs very little guidance and will just get on with the job, I have to light the hob for him but he mostly does the rest himself.
Tomorrow is my panel meeting It seems to have been a long time coming I shall be glad when its over and then hopefully they will start matching me with clients, I am hoping to leave work by the end of March but I am flexable on that.
Dinner tonight will be pie and mash or a curry will see what we fancy later.
Have good days all and take care xxx14 -
Good morning, and thanks for starting NMLC.Hope you'll have a better day today Camelot, it's miserable when you feel so tired at work.Glad you had a nice birthday Jackie. We had an ok day yesterday, I went to the book club in the library, there's still only half of the people attending that there were pre Covid, hope more return. This is only our 3rd meeting since Feb 2020, it's a long time and a lot has happened. This morning it's our residents' meeting, again in the library, just in a different room. This is something else that doesn't have the number of people attending, though two of our members died during lockdowns,While I'm in the library I think I'll get some books out.Hope everyone has a good day today, thinking of our poorly people, take care folks.15

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I've been awake half the night listening to the wind howling round us, Many years ago we had a lot of ridge tiles and slates blown off in a gale and I live in fear of it happening again! The noise it made was terrifying, I thought the whole roof was taking off!!
Nice and easy day today being Tuesday! Usual coffee and lunch meet with oldest buddy. My intentions are to choose from the healthy options section of the menu but that might change when I see someone else tucking into the fish and chips!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) with our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Glad you had a lovely birthday JACKIE. Take care one and all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Morning folks.Camelot - don't try to work through the tiredness. When does half term start for you? Here the schools are off already.Ruby - my fingers are crossed for you.Scarlet - enjoy your meeting!
Yesterday I eventually made it up to Oban with only a small delay. There was a little queue in the middle of nowhere caused by a car in a ditch with an elderly man in it. Seemed to have only just happened. ☹️ There were people helping and the emergency services called so we all drove on to clear the road. A fire engine came racing down a few minutes later. I anticipated driving home the very long way back (an extra 60 miles) as the road is single carriageway so would be closed, however by the time I had finished my tasks it had reopened.Today I'm still expecting the TV engineer with my new set, he'd blooming better come as I've emptied all the drawers. He's also installing my new fire / heat alarms. Laws here mean that they have to be interlinked so out with the old ones. The weather seems milder than of late, it's such a relief though there's another cold front due in on Thursday. A little bit of heat would be so lovely.Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.15 -
Morning folks and thanks nmlc fir starting us off, hope Zoom meeting goes ok for you.Camelot don’t overdo it and make sure you rest when you can.RedRuby the little pup did well to let you know!
Scarlet enjoy choosing books. I love visiting the library. We have quite a few here I can go to although it’s my local I tend to use. I love ordering books. It’s like a bookshop isn’t it?Working from home today and not too busy a day.Turkey defrosting so will have that with potatoes and veg. There’s turkey gravy in the freezer too. That’s twice we’ve had it lately. Delicious, easy too.Have as good a day as possible.

Morning
Supposed to be lots warmer today but it really doesn’t feel like it at the moment
Had a manic Monday as usual got the kitchen reasonable then wrecked it again cooking! Ah well it will go on the list for today again.
New contact was lovely so will enjoy his calls for the next 8 weeks. He is a carer for his wife who is bed bound, cant speak and lots of physical issues. His positive attitude was amazing but he understandably gets lonely. So much respect for all the people who care without any rewards.
Had a lovely chat with my neighbour on the way to the bins. Most people meet for lunch or drinks but we tend to meet chucking the recycling out! Planing on getting together soon for cake and catch up and not by the bins.
Made a fish pie with haddock cod and prawns which turned out much bigger than expected so I’ll have that again tonight with some spinach. Crumble leftovers for pud.
Have a good day all
Jackie glad you had a good birthday
Ruby you will walk it
xx

Morning all, a bit grey looking outside but not raining at least, isn't it getting lighter, now the evenings are drawing out thank goodness.
I'm off to coffee morning at my local Dobbies this morning with all of my pals from our quiz team.We meet every tuesday morning and chew the fat over the previous weeks events freebie coffee and good company what more could we want.
I have two vouchers for a free main meal at two separate big pub chains to use up at some point this year plus a voucher for a hot drink and slice of cake for two at Dobbies all freethe Dobbies one comes as part of the two hot drinks a month that I pay £10.00 a year for I also get discount on flowers and gardening stuff. There is a great deli in there where I buy meat sometime and always my Gloucester old spot sausages that I love . Its odd as I doubt if I use the pub chain maybe once or twice a year for a meal but because I signed up for a loyalty card you get sent a voucher for a free main course meal when its your birthday so happy days I will treat myself to a meal at some point
Right must get a wriggle on as lots to do today, after lunch I want to make some peanut butter cookies as I am meeting my eldest granddaughter tomorrow, as I want her to pick out something for her eldest little girl Erin as its her birthday next month and I usually get clothes and books and having Katie with me means I won't buy any books she already has. I promised her husband some cookies as they are his favourite and he did cook a gorgeous dinner for us last Sunday
Have a good day everyone and stay safe and well
