How feasible would this be, along with approx cost?

OK, thinking of doing up my bathroom - going to get a plumber in, would probably need a joiner as well for some stuff.

Looking to get rid of my bath and put a shower unit in along with getting rid of the wall and floor tiles and replacing the wall tiles with wall panels.

Thinking the easiest way to remove all the wall tiles is just to take off all the plasterboards and replace them with new ones (moisture-proof boards? and pretty sure they don't the cavity walls even have any insulation)

All the pipework is at the top right of the bathroom along with the showerhead and bath taps (check pic below) - looking to extend the pipework to the top left of the bathroom where the shower unit will be put in. - the shower unit will start where the small glass shelves are to the black line. The picture is of another flat in my development but the layout is the exact same.

How much do you think this would cost?

If you are open to ideas, I would investigate keeping the shower where it is and create a 'walk in shower' with a glass panel attached to the window wall possibly with a flipper at the end- not a wet room but a shower tray on the floor with a screen at the side.

Depending on where the pipes are and where you are in the country- my immediate guess would be 6-8k depending on what tiles, flooring and ceiling you opt for.  Any pipes under the bath that will need attention, for instance?

I cant work out from the post if you are looking to do a chunk of the work yourself however, if you are looking for ideas when getting quotes then why not google mobility and accessible bathroom fitters in your area - they will most likely have lots of experience in being multi skilled and fitting bathrooms and wet rooms so you may have a good chance of getting a company that knows how to fit a bathroom that is watertight.

    hope this helps
