Premium bonds

For those who weren't on here yesterday afternoon, OP's posts degenerated fairly quickly into gratuitous trolling, so a bunch of their more extreme comments were deleted - best not discuss in any detail but let's just say that to characterise them merely as 'poking fun at premium bonds' doesn't begin to cover it....redpete said:
Your 'poking fun' included comments that those who use PBs "just don't understand inflation or investments" or "they are ... well, not allowed to say" and that there's not "a worse thing to do with your money".Pagala said:I can't say what I really think, otherwise I'll get banned. I poked fun at premium bonds, and got a warning. Yet here in this thread I've directly been called an idiot. I've got my own opinions on that one. I've never bought a premium bond.
Then you get offended because someone poked fun at you by agreeing with your comment "maybe I'm an idiot"!8 -
Oh interesting - I thought what remained was pretty offensive all on its own - sounds like my assessment of the OP from their posting history was pretty accurate then!eskbanker said:

I always wonder if you win the £1m if the app tells you or asks you to call them asapranciduk said:Apart from all the ups and downs you could mention- it’s actually a bit of fun checking the results once they are released
i still get a buzz when I find out I’ve won £25

My understanding is that the £1m winners get a personal visit from a NS&I rep to tell them - the woman who used to do it was known as 'the Premium blonde' !

I figured that something had happened given that one of my own, I would say innocuous, posts had been deleted.

Let's hope she checks they will be in. Imagine coming home from work to a little card on the welcome matt saying "sorry we missed you, you won 1 million pounds"

It'd be getting the door open past the bundles of used tenners on the doormat that would worry me...andyhicks88 said:p00hsticks said:P1Fanatic said:

Not sure if the personal visits from 'Agent Million' have resumed, but they were stopped for pandemic reasons....

I have mine and wifes PB on the app on my phone, I get all the excitement of her winning (£50 this month) and all the disappointment of mine losing (not won for over a year).P1Fanatic said:Do you use the app with the congratulations in slow mo as you wait for the prize value to appear? I have mine and both my parents accounts in the app so get 3 lots of excitement each month. I always wonder if you win the £1m if the app tells you or asks you to call them asap
We both have £7.5 k although as we have winnings invested hers is a bit more now
They are just easy access money, the rest of the Easy access is earning 0.6% so PB have more than held their own.
We have money invested in the market and also locked in fixed interest accounts so a little of everything.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy1 -
