Register property

My late wife and I jointly owned our property, but it is registered in her name only. What is required to register the property in my name. Thank you.

I'm sorry for your loss.Did your wife leave a will leaving her estate to you ?I'm afraid I don't understand how you can jointly own a property but only she is named on the register. I've tagged the@Land_Registry representative on the forum so hopefully they will pick this up and be able to advise you.2

Yes, she left a will, leaving her entire estate to me. It was my solicitor who told me we both were joint owners. Thank you for your kind sentiment, it is very much appreciated. Thank you for the link, appreciated.0

If it’s registered in her sole name then you’ll need probate in order to transfer it as her executor into your name as the beneficiary
