So Energy

I was with ESB energy (first rate customer service & value for money). They recently merged with So Energy. Despite several emails I cannot get a response to my queries. I was on a dual fuel fixed contract until Sept 2023, which should have been carried accross. The tariffs shown on So Energy website are incorrect, although they appear to be quoting the same tariff name. I am concerned that they will be calculating the amounts incorrectly and charging too much.

This is the "LPG and oil" section and So Energy are suppliers of electricity and mains gas, so you're sadly in the wrong section. There is a So Energy thread in the main "Energy" section and you might want to post there:N. I'm also with So Energy and their predicted usage for me for February is twice what it was for January this year and February last year. There was a graph showing this in grey on their website (which husband took a screen capture of) and now it's disappeared from their website. Unfortunately, this hikes up our usage rate, so when trying to get quotes from other companies, they are using that hiked up February value. Finally got through on the phone and they said they didn't know why it was so high and would investigate. In the meantime, our predicted monthly bill is >£700 and we're currently paying £125. Quite the increase!trevorredfern said:I was with ESB energy (first rate customer service & value for money). They recently merged with So Energy. They are still going, but I had a total blank period with them for about 8 months with no bills, no payments and my account showing £0.00 online. I submitted readings every month as per their request(even though they get them automatically from the smart meter).quaybab said:Has So energy gone bust now - no bills generated and direct debits not taken as usual.
Fortunately I had been putting money to one side in the expectation that they would come knocking eventually - which they did - a couple of months ago I got a bill for over a grand!
