Moving into a new house

Hi All, we are in the unusual situation where we are finally moving into a new house. The current owner is using e-on and as we are not currently home owners so we do not have an existing supplier. Really worried about the energy situation and what would be the best option for us? There are no deals and advice is don’t change but unfortunately we are now entering this craziness. Looking for some guidance. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new home!
Take meter readings when you move in. Contact E.ON, tell them you're thenew owners and give them your contact details. Tell them you want to remain on the deemed variable tariff until you've settled in and have got your bearings. Don't let yourself be pushed into a fixed rate tariff.

You will be on a deemed  tariff with E-On.  Give them your info and meter readings you've taken yourself on the date of completion plus DD details, but stay on the Standard Variable Tariff until something better comes along, don't be forced to accept a fixed tariff right now.
