Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining. I haven't posted in ages but recently I've noticed that we have not been as strict with our budgeting and from (lots and lots) of experience, I know this is how mistakes get made and debt can rise.Today I've tidied up my budget spreadsheet, updated some of the figures.Checked back through my last month spending to identify where we could have held backBooked a 'budget meeting' with my wife for tonight after dinner (it's an in joke that we have meetings rather than just talk about money)Although thankfully we had our DFD last year, we have dipped into overdraft when nearing the end of the month. Reason I believe is over-spending on non-essentials, the increase in food shops and petrol and the extra spending that comes with a 1 year old. So that is being addressed so we keep on top. Thanks to all who keep these forums going and who post.Debt-Free Jan 2021 - My DFD post - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/78007784#Comment_78007784Keep going, you will get there!4

Me again, so Sainsburys gave an update on Temp contracts, they have been extended until 5th March which was the plan anyway but now they've stated as long as you're hitting the IPH target of 174 items they'll look to keep you permeant. Which is a big positive for me as I currently sit at around 190/200 items. So fingers crossed for me!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Sometimes you get really good shops and someone will buy 10 tins of the same thing so I've picked 10 items within one minute. Sometimes you have to run half way across the store because the item that's on sale isn't in the usual place and placed at the front of the store due to them wanting to make people buy itI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
