Using Wren Healthcare for PCR test flying to Dubai

Hello,

I am flying to Dubai on 16th Feb to start a new job. The current requirements are:

• Must hold a negative COVID‑19 PCR test. The time the sample was taken must be no more than 48 hours before the scheduled flight departure from the UK.
• The type of test must be a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT‑PCR) test.
• The RT‑PCR negative test result certificate must contain a QR code, and state the location where the sample was taken. 

I believe as my flight is at 9am on Wednesday (via Zurich) I will need to take the test on Monday. I have previously looked at Wren Healthcare, but they only give next day results. I am a bit worried that this leaves my short of time. I got in contact with them and said they will turn the tests around and meet the requirements needed in Dubai.

Has anyone had a negative experience? Is there another company I can use?

Where have you picked up the requirements from? If its from the FCO website they may be assuming your flying direct and so its worth checking a trusted Dubai based source to ensure it isnt within 48 hours of your Zurich flight's departure time. 

There are hundreds of companies that do PCR tests, all for covid with be RT-PCR, though most are just resellers of labs kits. You can get results within 3 hours with some other providers but you pay a lot extra for the faster service.

Hi. I went to Dubai at the end of last year and I used Eurofins which are very close to LHR. It was £38 or so and I had it done by 10 am and got the results back by 5.30 pm that day. As long as you have it done before midday then you'll almost certainly get it back the same day. There are other locations as well, depending where in the country you are.
