How do you find the actual cap prices for your region?

It's proving hard to find the actual cap numbers for my region (South West). The Ofgem website says to contact your supplier for the info. Scottish Power said they are sending an update in March. Is there a table anywhere with the regional values for standing charge and unit costs?

I know that Martin is recommending to do nothing, but a few months ago I found 2 year fixes for a friend that were only 8% more expensive than the existing cap (estimated using the UK average) and therefore would be significantly cheaper than the new cap after April 2022. I'd already moved to a 2 year fix for myself in Aug 2021. I'm now looking for another friend and need to work with more precise values.

There isn't an official table, as far as I can tell, but I've calculated it based on the published annual costs. You'll find it at the link in my signature.

This is the problem with generic advice; while most don't have any better option than the capped flexible tariff, some people (particularly with loyalty tariff offers) will have been better off fixing.

Ofgem's website has a spreadsheet of all the regional values from which you can calculate the implied maximum rates..

My own calculations using the Ofgem data are as follows (incl VAT and paying by DD)

    Southern Western Region
    Gas SC=27.219 p/day Rate= 7.476p/kWh
    Electricity SC=51.625p/day, Rate= 28.409 p/kWh

My estimated values were SC=24.44 p/day and rate=20.58p/kWh. Maybe these were the national averages actually.
I see that you're quoting the April 2022 numbers.
