get some soft wood to fill the "large" gaps, then use woof filler to cover everything up. when dry, sand nicely to a flush finish and paint. you won't even tell there was another hole

Woof filler is useful if you want a job that looks like a dog's dinner.aoleks said:get some soft wood to fill the "large" gaps, then use woof filler to cover everything up. when dry, sand nicely to a flush finish and paint. you won't even tell there was another hole

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
If the wood was chipboard then I would use wood filler. It is not chipboard, so I would do what others have suggested ie. a piece of wood to fit and only fill any remaining gaps with filler.0
