and a £5 a month sim from gifgaf.

Its been working very well for a couple of years now.

Is the internet needed for anything else?  Ours went out and suddenly all of MiL's favourite TV channels disappeared.  She doesn't understand things like iPlayer or Netflix but she did know how to switch the TV between the station with Midsomer Murders and BBC news.  

fyi - my EE contract for landline with unlimited international calls and broadband has just dropped to £34 a month.  Might be time to shop around and take more service for the sake of getting the essentials as a decent price.
