Afternoon All
Successful night with the little one, tried to put her to bed around 8 but she wasn't having it. Rather than both of getting stressed she came back downstairs and we read some stories. Decided at 9 that I was tired too so we both went to bed. Little one fell asleep straight away and I had a fitful sleep, everytime I tried to move she was stuck to me! Anyway, her Mum and Dad came to pick her up this morning and were surprised she slept all night. They brought breakfast in with them so a treat of tattie scone and egg rolls for me.
Not much going on here today, the weather is too bad to go to see DS1 (although brilliant sunshine at the moment), it's windy with hail and sleet showers thrown in. I may have a little nap later.
Washing going on the pulley when it's finished, everywhere tidied up, all the toys have been taken back upstairs and I've had a hoover round. That will do for today.
Have a happy Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Afternoon, late today.
As the bungalow is such a mess we were unable to have brekkie in bed and a late start. So usual morning breakfast, what I have done since then I really do not know. I have washed and dreid a load of coloured stuff I was running out of knickers abd I cannot get to the drawer that has them in. OK now until after Thursday.
Not such a good night.....woke up hot at one point, threw the quilt off, soon had it back over me, it was freezing.
Its sunny just now but the wind is cold, no rain or snow, although it did look as if it has rained during the night.
I managed to get the curtains up in the front bedroom, have left them drawn so they drop, I will ne so glad to get the room back to normal asap, although without the help of my cleaner, I have told her to take the week off and make sure she is ok before she comes back, so that will be almost the middle of the month before she comes back. We are hoping to get the hall done before the end of the year, not so much to move in there just the chest and the hanging wall cupboard, I reckon I can survive that. Forward planning the sitting room will be next and I thik we will have to go away whilst its done. Late autumn looks like the time frame.
Supper veg prepped, I took a serving of roast pork out of the freezer.......DB requested it. We still have a couple of servings of oranges in jelly, so thats dessert taken care of.

Good evening everyone, just back from my DGDs where I had a smashing Sunday dinner followed by a couple of games of Buckaroo and a fishing game with DGGDs Erin and Ida.
I bought DGD some tulips on the way to her house and she was delighted with them. The two little girls and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . DGD did a lovely chocolate and caramel cake which was gorgeous and I came home with a large quarter of it which will be portioned up during the week. Bless her she also make me a box of bits for supper, a sandwich and some odds and ends , so I don't even have to make anything today. She said its time for Granny to do nothing this weekend
Last night was out to dinner at my eldest DDs and son-in-laws and came home with several bags fulls of stuff as its my birthday tomorrow. We watched the Chris Ewbank Jn fight as we are boxing fans.
DD also gave me a box of left over shaepards pie as she had made a huge one,so that was portioned up and popped into the freezer for later this week. Not a great deal of cooking for me this week.
Our Val is at her daughter Dawns for a few weeks, and hopefully she will be recovering well there as I know her daughter will look after her.I will ring her tomorrow and see how she is coping.
Tomorrow night I am at youngest DDs for dinner, with my son-in-law and two of my grandsons .The other two can't get there as one is at work in north London and the other is at Uni in Essex.
Eldest DGS will facetime me tomorrow afternoon from New York as they are about five hours behind the Uk.
By golly it was a nippy day today though, and the wind was blowing a real hooley. But the best bit is the nights are slowly drawing out a bit at last, and spring won't be too far off
Right I'm off to make a cuppa and read a bit more of my libary book its really interesting as its set in oxford where I used to live and I recognise many of the places mentioned
hope everyone is safe and warm and dry
Take cars chums
