Yesterday I really enjoyed some chapters of the new Reacher series, mind you there are eight one hour episodes so I didn't sit through them all, merely topped and tailed the story but I will go back and do some middle bits today.
I hope thst others had a more peaceful night. It's lovely to see a couple of the missing post again, my thoughts are with the others and the poorlies. Happy Sunday to all.

Morning Gers and everyone still in bed
Miserable weather yesterday rained all day. Got drenched just going to the bin. No different today rain and wind all night
Had to ring the local emergency hospital for my laptop (local guy just round the corner!) The battery has very little life left in it and needs the charger constantly so he’s ordered one and hopefully will perform surgery on it this week. Very reasonably priced and kindly offered to pick up and deliver back. Hope its not gone too long it’s my lifeline.
Curry and nan was really lovely last night and there’s plenty left for tonight so may have some chips with it. Likely to get another couple of meals from it too for the freezer. Didn’t get round to the crumble so will do that today and have with DOI tonight
PJ day for me today, no bin runs to do so its cosy comfy wear, feet up and catch up TV. Even having a mini brekky this morning, bacon and egg butty. Gotta love a Sunday
Hope everyone has a lovely day

Good morning – two threads aaargh – thank you Gers and Scarlett x
It’s a very blustery and wet start here in Kent but no way as bad as those of you further north. I do hope you are all okay.
We managed to sand down two doors yesterday – doesn’t sound a lot but they are 1930’s panelled doors and had about 10 layers of paint on them. We needed to get all of that off and boy was it messy and noisy! Cleaned up in time for the rugby – great match although the result could have been better!
We watched the last episode of The Teacher last night – bit of an odd ending, but Sheridan Smith is such a great actor. Watched her recently in Four Lives and there’s a new drama coming (No Return) so we’ll look out for that.
Today we will drop pup home to DS1 and then go shopping for new sofas. Ours are leather and have seen better days – the joys of having three children and a dog have left them looking battered. I would like feather filled seats this time. Found one in JL but want to see others before we make a decision.
Just the two of us for dinner again tonight unless DD and her BF join us. She came back from uni for DS1s birthday yesterday and stayed there last night. We will check when dropping pup off.
Hope everyone has a good day. Good news for Jackie’s Val and glad it’s not diabetes Ruby. Hope you can get some answers. Hugs to the poorlies and those with worries NRA, poppy, dp1, Bella – sorry if I’ve missed anyone.

Morning folks
peered out and it looks better here than yesterday. Went back to bed with tea and toast. Have really enjoyed the long sleep.
Gers could you use ear plugs on very windy nights? I use B00ts wax ones sometimes if DH is v snory.Coxy the rugby was the right result for me! Well done with stripping back the doors. So worth it.Easy tea of turkey from freezer. After New Yr I got a bargain of a large turkey crown reduced from £30 to £5 so most was sliced for the freezer.I had smoked mackerel and salad for my lunch yesterday. So delicious. I’m planning to up my oily fish to twice a week as they recommend. I keep thinking I’ll do this then don’t. I’ll go back to meal planning.Walk planned for this afternoon and a stop at a C0sta on the way so cup of tea and a read of my book there.Haven’t looked at forecast today but keep warm and safe all.Sending hugs X14 -

Morning all
Very blustery here too but not as bad as up north I hope you are all warm and safe.
Sisters Pup is now coming this morning they got the time of the flight wrong so its much later in the day, she is due anytime now and then chaos will reign ! I am actually really looking forward to having a pup around again
Did a PCR test on mum yesterday and sent it off so waiting to hear, I also did her some shopping and ordered her something she wanted off of the internet (something to do with sewing) which should arrive today.
Roast chicken for dinner today and I also bought the pups a chicken and poached it yesterday with some carrots, butternut squash and rice so that will do them a few days dinners.
Will get out for a walk later littleist pup cant walk that far yet so it will be several short ones for her, OH might take ours out for a longer one.
Have good days all and stay safe xxx15 -
Morning everyone hugs to those that need them Gers I know what you mean about been stuck in the house I’ve felt really fed up lately last weekend I couldn’t go anywhere because the storm was so bad and this weekend we have have snow showers and rain and it’s been bitterly cold not the ideal weather for standing around in at bus stops I know we have a car but I don’t drive and my husband won’t go anywhere I think it usually helps I don’t start work until 12 on a Monday and I usually meet my friends for a coffee and a catch up but last week I had the dentist and this week I get my haircut and next week it is half term so they have kids at home roll on the spring I feel like these last two years has lasted for ever I was talking to a lady at work the other day and she said she felt like the lockdown had aged so many people and now when she went out having to check places and book had taken the spontaneity out of everything and more often than not she didn’t bother I think that’s true for a lot of people. Pork is cooking and veg is prepared just Yorkshire puddings to put in later a bit more housework and that’s it for today have a good day everyone whatever you are doing14

Morning folks and thanks GERS. The same wet and blustery weather is with us too. I've given up going out to upright the pots and stuff at the back. They are over again before I am back inside again. I have a full bag of recycling in the garage but that can wait until the wind drops as it would be blown out of my hands before I got to the wheelie.
I had no plans for the day (usual Sunday!) until DD texted to see if I could have the youngest whilst she takes middle one to Leeds for her Renaissance dance training, so I now have company from lunchtime. Eldest DGD is doing her usual Sunday afternoon spare time job.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. Plus those just fed up! Take care one and all and be safe xx ps I hope JACKIE is enjoying her birthday celebrations.

Good morning,
Wet & windy here again today, but I have no plans to go out so it doesn't matter.
Just more housework then the pottery throw down and Karma hospital on TV, I know how to live 😁
Have as good a day as you can 🌻13 -
Morning all,
I started writing a reply, then realised it was TMI waffle, so will just wish you all a pleasant day. Sounds a bit wild out there again so today will be an indoors day (sorry Doddie Aid, I have been so good recently, but this battering wind/rain/hail stuff makes my ears so painful, even with my snood/hat!), I will do more German, knit, cook, and chill. Have a good Sunday all.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Morning all. Awful night here too - gusty winds, rain and car alarms going off. Today is brighter with blue sky but the wind hasn't gone away.
For dinner we're having roast pork in gravy and stuffing (both from the freezer), mash and broccoli. I don't think we'll need a pud after that but if we do, there's always fruit & yogurt. I have some baking to do but other than that it's a put-your-feet-up day. DH will be watching rugby again and there's quite a few decent programmes tonight that we both enjoy.
The little pot of daffodils I got a couple of weeks ago are coming on well; one bud has opened and I can see lots more to come. They're on the kitchen window sill so I get to see them a lot as that's where I spend quite a lot of the day! Well worth the £2 paid.
OrkneyStar: I also have lots of Ahnungs, some more successful than others!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone, stay safe, keep warm. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.14
