Old Style Daily Sunday 06 February 2022

Morning folks.

It's been another wild and noisy night outside, nonstop battering winds and hammering rain. None of the threatened snow here yet. Because of the noise my sleep was rather patchy and yet here I am, wide awake when I don't want to be! My car alarm was activated by the wind overnight, luckily I keep my spare key upstairs so turned it off then didn't reset it until now.
Yesterday I really enjoyed some chapters of the new Reacher series, mind you there are eight one hour episodes so I didn't sit through them all, merely topped and tailed the story but I will go back and do some middle bits today.
Even I am getting fed up with my slothfulness and itching to get outside. During lockdown there wasn't much to do except go outside which was possible  during spring and summer. Now there's hardly any relief.
As for today, I need to empty the seven drawers of my big bedroom chest.  The TV engineer is due on Tuesday with my new bedroom set - depending on the weather as he comes up by ferry - and the unit is against that wall so will need shifting. It's really heavy when empty and almost impossible to move when full. I've got those fabulous orange sliders which will make it even easier for him so I'm taking the opportunity to sift through things.
I've pulled a lasagna out of the freezer which is defrosting so am coping with the bare fridge so far though there will be a milk crisis by the end of the day. 😀
I hope thst others had a more peaceful night. It's lovely to see a couple of the missing post again, my thoughts are with the others and the poorlies. Happy Sunday to all.
