Old Shared Water Supply

Hi all, would anyone know if there is financial help available with replacing a shared water supply pipe? Mum is on a small pension with no savings.

Is it lead and from the local water main out in the street ?
If so, the local water board should be able to replace it free of charge up as far as the water meter (or main stop !!!!!!). Unfortunately, this will still leave your Mum with the cost & hassle of replacing any lead pipes from the water meter to the inside of the house - The water board probably won't do any free replacement until her side is done.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Why does your mum want the pipe replaced, is it just so she can get a meter put in by any chance?

The old pipe is iron, so there won’t be any help from Anglian, but they wouldn’t charge for the connection.

Nothing to do with a meter. She can’t shower unless she has it at 5.30am. There is a very poor flow.
