Hello all, I won a trip to America and we go in August (19th) I am going with my daughter, friend and her daughter. I am worried about the rules of vaccinated children, currently both girls are 11 and the last birthday will be may 17th. Will they have to be vaccinated/ double vaccinated before we go? And is there enough time if they do as there is only 3 months between the last birthday and the day of travel. Thank you all for any advice.

Remember current requirements will not necessarily apply in August. That is 6 months away. Plenty of time for several changes.
current guidance statesChildren under 18 are exempt from the vaccination requirement for travelers. However, children between the ages of 2 and 17 are still required to take a pre-departure test.
Regardless of vaccination or citizenship status, children must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 day before travel to the United States.

If you are going to New York I think there are stricter regulations for entry to certain places. Again things could be very differnt in August.
