Options
Hi, is anyone else having any problems with lloyds tsb today, i logged into my current account this morning to check my wages had been paid but they hadnt and also a SO payment for £30.00 which was due out today hadnt gone out either. The first thing i did was contact my boss to double check my wages had been paid which they had so i then contacted my bank at 7.45 this morning and they said they had no record of the £292.74 wages pending on my account and to check again tomorrow. has anyone else had this happen today?

thanks, lyn.

    Congratulations you now have your first Thanks.......in error !! Hit the wrong button !! :D

    Lloyds had a similar problem with an overnight run approx 1 week ago. Just a guess, but maybe it's happened again ?

    Hey Linnyjj, it might be the bank's error, which happened last week, as Exel1966 mentioned.

    However, my LTSB account did receive my BACS payment......... of £1.00 from my Halifax account in the early morning hours today. It was a small amount due to 'testing of waters'. I have no S/O or D/D coming out today;

    If you check later about 5pm it should be fixed, if it is LTSB's error (this is when the previous mistake was rectified).

    Hi, thanks for the replys, im really stresing myself out over it because i have other bills that come out on the 16th and 18th december an also i ordered my tesco shopping online which was charged to the account even though there was only £16.90 in my account as i expected my wages to be in there to cover it so when that comes out i will be about £40 overdrawn if my wages dont turn up. I have asked my boss to double check the payment went through ok on tuesday which it seems to of done and my bank says there is no payments pending to go in my account. I did have a payment of £3.63 from rpoints which was due to go in and did go in so i cant understand what has happened to the payment.

    Also would the £30 standing order payment of shown up on my statement as going out but then being returned to my account because of insufficent funds in my account because the SO payment doesnt seem to have gone anywhere today.

    I hope you understand what i mean.

    Thanks again.

    My understanding is that if the SO payment is returned, it will show up as a Debit at first, then a Credit later (some sort like a correction).

    Does it normally take 2 days for your wages to go into your account? Some banks need 3 days. I would think there's no problem with the BACS system as you mentioned, your Rpoints payment reached your account without fail.

    I would suggest that you arrange for an increased authorised overdraft with LTSB, give them a call at 0800 085 9174. Or if you could delay the bill payments that may be a good idea as well.

    Best of luck!

    If your bill comes out by DD, you will still be, hopefully, on time to delay the bill on the 18th. It might be a bit late to delay 16th though. I'm not sure in terms of delaying the bills, should you wait until tomorrow - as there is a cut off point for DD payments to be changed.

    If your company had a problem with their BACS system your wages could be a day late.
    Getting them to admit it and pay you compensation if you have receivd any bank charges as a result is another matter.
